What can Barbara Jordan teach us about impeachment?

Her powerful speech includes one of my favorite American politicians’ quotes, which highlights the importance of the impeachment hearings.
My faith in the Constitution is complete, it is complete, it is total. And I will not sit back and watch as the Constitution is weakened, subverted, or destroyed.
Jordan did not call for Nixon’s impeachment. But she defends the system and the checks and balances. She also elevates the ideas and frames to help us understand the gravity of the Watergate scandal. It is one the greatest American political speeches.
